Homecoming. TJ Holmes et Amy Robach were seen arriving in NYC on Thursday, December 29, after packing their PDA in Miami.
Robach, 49, and Holmes, 45, were spotted at a New York airport attempting to go undercover wearing sunglasses and dark suits. Robach, who was hauling a carry-on, wore a black pea coat over bootcut jeans with brown boots while his hair was pulled back in a low ponytail. Holmes wore a black hoodie over a white T-shirt and blue jeans as he carried two gym bags.
Before their return, the GMA3: what you need to know co-hosts had been spotted in Atlanta and Miami. Apparently Holmes and Robach couldn’t hold hands the night before. They were seen kissing passionately on Wednesday, December 28, in photos obtained from Page 6.
Their return to New York comes as viewers wonder if they’ll be back on the air. Shortly after the first photos indicating their alleged relationship surfaced online, the two returned to television as if nothing had changed. They hosted the December 1 and 2 episodes of their morning show. However, on December 5, their places were filled by Stephanie Ramos et Gio Benitez. DeMarco Morgan et Rhiannon’s ally he also replaced Robach and Holmes alongside GMA3 regular Dre Jen Ashton.
“TJ and Amy aren’t being filmed right now because ABC wants to make sure they can do a complete review of their relationship before bringing them back on the air,” a source exclusively explained to We weekly earlier this month, noting that the network is investigating “when did it start, how did it start, did it take place at work [and] if it was distracting to the staff.
The insider continued, “ABC is putting resources in place so there are no surprises and they have as much information as possible before deciding how to proceed.”
The investigation focuses on “trying to find out what staff saw before it was exposed to the media,” the insider explained, adding that some of the hello America staff “saw their PDA behavior” outside the office.
Robach and Holmes were spotted “leaving the station together, getting into a car together, going to dinner together, hearing plans for a weekend away.” [and] even kissing in the car” from colleagues, the source shared.
A revolving door of guest anchors will continue to deliver the news GMA3 until the investigation is complete.
In his spare time, Holmes filed for divorce from his wife Marilee Fiebig after 12 years of marriage. He filed for an end to their union in New York Wednesday, according to court documents obtained by Us, the same day he and Robach were seen packing on PDA in Florida. Robach, meanwhile, was married to Andrew Shue since 2010.
