The Hatzilazarou family added another hotel to its “portfolio”.
The historical hotel Titania Hotel passed to the group H Hotels Collection | Hatzilazarou Group and is the first located outside the island of the Knights, Rhodes.
After the recent acquisition of Rhodes Bay Hotel & Spa and Elite Suites, the Hatzilazarou family is expanding its presence in the Greek hotel market.
The first hotel of the H Hotels Collection group was the Rodos Princess Beach Resort & Spa, in 1993 with 450 beds and 200 employees.
Thirty years later, it maintains more than 8,000 beds employing more than 1,700 workers.
The historic Hotel Titania
Titania began construction in 1971 and opened in 1976. Before the hotel on that site was the famous United Bustassia pastry shop, which was replaced, in the early 1930s, by the Titania cinema, so named because of its excessive for at the time of its size, since it had a capacity of 2,000 people.
The Pentelic marble, its interior decorated with mosaics representing scenes from Greek history place it among the most characteristic hotels of the center.
