GORAJUARA – Saturn’s largest moon, Titan, is the only moon with a large atmosphere among the 150 known moons in the solar system.
Titan is the only place besides Earth that is known to have liquids in the form of rivers, lakes and seas on its surface.
Reporting from the science.nasa.gov site by GORAJUARA, Titan is larger than the planet Mercury and is the second largest moon in our solar system.

Titan’s atmosphere consists mostly of nitrogen, just like Earth’s atmosphere, but its surface pressure is 50 percent higher than Earth’s atmosphere.
Titan has clouds, rain, rivers, lakes and seas of liquid hydrocarbons such as methane and ethane.
Beneath Titan’s thick water crust lies more liquid ice, an ocean composed mostly of water, not methane.

Titan’s subsurface water could be a place to harbor life as we know it.
Meanwhile lakes on the surface and oceans of liquid hydrocarbons may be able to accommodate life that is different from what we are used to, namely life that we don’t yet know about.
Exotic as it sounds, in some ways Titan is one of the friendliest worlds in the solar system.

The hydrogen atmosphere on Titan is so dense that humans do not need pressure suits to walk on the surface.
However, humans still need oxygen masks and protection against cold temperatures reaching minus 179 degrees.
