During a videoconference in which she spoke to caregivers, the Queen of England said she felt “exhausted” after catching the Covid.
The virus makes very tired and exhausted, isn’t it ? “This little sentence dropped by Elizabeth II, during a meeting with British caregivers, is a worrying signal as the queen misses more and more official events due to her post-Covid fatigue.
The monarch had tested positive for Covid in February and presented, according to Buckingham Palace, ” mild symptoms. “But since then, the queen has missed several events where she was supposed to go, such as last week for the religious ceremony of Maundy Thursday, which she traditionally attends.

The queen had already considerably reduced her schedule since a night of hospitalization in October for examinations, the nature of which has never been revealed. She has retreated since the start of the pandemic to Windsor Castle, about 40 miles from London, and had recently admitted to having difficulty getting around.
The British are preparing to celebrate the Queen’s platinum jubilee next June, marking her 70 years of reign. It is not known, however, if the monarch will be able to attend the festivities as planned.
