The Directorate of Health Affairs in the Eastern Province, under the supervision of Dr. Hisham Masoud, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in the Eastern Province, received today, Thursday, the directorate’s share of the vaccinations allocated from the Ministry of Health to start the national polio vaccination campaign, which will be launched nationwide from next Sunday, for a period of 4 days.
Dr. Hisham Masoud, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in the Sharqiya, assigned the General Administration of Preventive Medicine and in charge of vaccinations in the Directorate, to hand over the allocated grafts to all health departments, in addition to delivering the medical and preventive supplies needed for the campaign, according to the number of children targeted in each health department.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry stated that the national campaign for polio vaccination aims to vaccinate one million 195 thousand and 490 children at the governorate level, from one day to five years old, from Egyptians and non-Egyptians, pointing out that the campaign is attended by 2401 medical teams, including 501 fixed teams in medical centers And health units and health offices, and 1900 mobile teams, while they were divided into 614 urban teams and 1,787 teams in the countryside.
