The professor of chest diseases added in a special statement to “Youm Seven” that a number of tips must be followed to avoid symptoms of seasonal allergies and respiratory infections, which are:
1. Do not be exposed to cold air currents directly, especially if you were sitting in a warm place beforehand. If you have to, you must cover the mouth and nose with a medical mask.
2. Avoid exposure to strong odors as much as possible, because they cause irritation in the chest and nose. If there are strong odors, work to ventilate your place well.
3. Stay away from strong and direct contact with animals and birds at home, and make sure to keep them away from sleeping areas.
4. Drink plenty of warm fluids throughout the day, especially before bed, to soothe the chest.
5. Eat a lot of seasonal fruits, especially those rich in vitamin C, to raise immunity and enhance health efficiency, especially guava and oranges.
6. The necessity of obtaining the necessary serums and vaccines against respiratory infections, the most important of which are the quadrivalent influenza serum and the pneumococcal serum.
7. Stay away from smoking places and crowded places, as the negative impact of smoking is stronger than smoking itself, especially on some groups, including children and pregnant women.
