Tips for Keeping Children Healthy During Rainy Season from Pediatrician Dr. Ari Prayogo, SpA

BorneoFlash.com, HEALTH – Entering the rainy season, children are now more susceptible to disease. Seasonal changes can cause a decrease in the body’s immune system, which can cause various illnesses such as coughs, colds and other illnesses.

Pediatrician Dr. Ari Prayogo, SpA explains what first aid parents can do when their child is sick. Dr Prayogo said one form of first aid that parents must pay attention to is ensuring that children get enough water.

“First aid for a sick child is to ensure adequate hydration. “So make sure your child drinks enough,” said Dr Prayogo, quoted by BorneoFlash.com from detik, Saturday (13/1/2024).

“Then make sure his respiratory tract is clean in a clean environment, away from cigarettes, away from smoke like that, and make sure the environment is not stuffy, the air remains good, circulation is good,” he continued.

For children under 2 years old, Dr Prayogo advises parents to regularly clean their children’s noses. He said this needs to be done so that children’s noses don’t get blocked and so they can rest well and eat better.

If the child’s condition does not improve, it is a good idea to immediately go to the nearest health facility.
