As part of its efforts to continue providing electricity supplies according to the highest standards of efficiency, availability and reliability, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority renewed its call on community members to take the necessary precautions and measures during the rainy season to avoid any malfunctions or internal outages and ensure the safety and continuity of electrical energy supplies.
The Authority invited customers to review the instructions and advice provided by the Authority through its website and its official pages on social media, to learn about the most important steps, precautions and necessary procedures during the rainy season.
The Authority indicated the necessity of using the services of a qualified electrician to carry out periodic maintenance work, and to permanently ensure that all external electrical connections to the house, electrical panels and the meter box are water-resistant and well insulated in order to avoid any interruption in the Authority’s services. The authority also called for tightly closing the electrical panels, replacing the electricity meter glass if it is broken, closing all openings in the electrical pipelines on the roof of the building, and inspecting the grounding (electrical discharge) cables to ensure the continuity of electrical energy supply in a stable and safe manner. Through the “Dewa Store” on its smart application, the Authority provides the names of technical service providers with whom customers can contact in the event of internal malfunctions in the building.
The Authority allocates the emergency number 991 for any urgent technical reports. Instructions and advice on ensuring safety and continuity of electricity supply during the rainy season can be found through the link:
