All three of the winners in Friday’s Eurojackpot draw were Norwegian, Norsk Tipping reports on Friday night.
And the biggest prize among them went to a 67-year-old man from Oteren in Troms. He shared the second prize with three foreign players and won exactly 6,287,400 kroner.
– Ka in all the world? No, no, no, is it possible? said the man when Norsk Tipping called.
The wife was also on the speaker. According to Norsk Tipping, the winning amount had to be repeated up to several times and the wife ended up bursting into tears.
– Is it possible? Thank you. Heaven and sea, this is an awful lot of money, laughs the new Eurojackpot millionaire.
The man wants to remain anonymous.
– This is the nicest phone call I’ve had in my entire life.
– Now I will buy a nice car and pay off loans.
Norsk tipping asks if there will be a celebration this weekend.
– We have to celebrate this weekend. Maybe we hit with both pepper beef and shrimp.
The winning coupon was purchased from Coop Prix Hatteng.
A man from Melhus in Trøndelag secured two third prizes and NOK 2,219,350.
A 44-year-old woman from Ski ran away with the national additional prize of 1 million kroner.
Deadline for the Eurojackpot is Friday at 19.00
– I’m thinking of renovating the bathroom. It will be an extra nice bathroom now. Some of the premium will probably also be used to pay down the loan, she says.
When asked what she would spend the rest of the evening on, the lucky winner answered:
– I will watch further on TV and take it easy.
