BRATISLAVA. After the 39th round of the Tipos extraliga, the hockey players of HC Slovan Bratislava are still in first place in the table with a three-point lead over HKM Zvolen.
In Sunday’s match, Belas came out empty-handed in Nitra, which they lost 2:3. However, Zvolenčany didn’t score either, as they couldn’t handle the hopefully started duel with Banská Bystrica and lost 5:6.
The hockey players of Nitra secured the current 10th place, which guarantees participation in the preliminary round of the playoffs.

In the sixth match against each other of the current season, they beat Slovan Bratislava for the second time, when they repeated the 3:2 result from the January duel in Bratislava. This time they scored in full when they laid the foundation for the victory with three goals in the 11th minute.
The score of the match was closed in the 44th minute by “Whites” defender Michal Beňo, for whom it was the first goal of the season. The Slavists remained in first place in the table ahead of Zvolen.

First loss in Trenčín
The hockey players of HC Košice won on the ice of Dukla Trenčín 5:3 and ended the five-game winning streak of the home team.

The final duel of Sunday’s program brought an attractive derby between Zvolen and Banská Bystrica.

With their third win in a row, the team from Banská Bystrica confirmed their excellent form in the calendar year – they won 12 of the past 14 matches. Since the beginning of the year, they have lost only once away (2:4 at Slovan).
