After thirteen defeats, the hockey players from Nitra achieved their first victory by beating Trenčín 4:1 on home ice in the 48th regional round of the Tipos extraliga. Czech goalkeeper Libor Kašík scored the first victory, strengthening Nitra on Tuesday.

The team from Nitra already had a significant shooting advantage in the first period, when they beat the opponent with a ratio of 19:8. In the central half, defender Martin Bodák opened the scoring with a sharp shot, which Tomáš Starosta was able to answer with an equalizing goal. However, the “Corgons” broke the shot impotence and Jake Elmer scored the winning goal in the 28th minute. František Gajdoš scored the final goal of the game in the third period and Sahir Gill scored the first goal in the non-Slovak league.
