22-year-old Tipa from Liepāja competed for the penultimate place in Marat’s team.
Tipa didn’t hide that she doesn’t like to lose, but she also wouldn’t be sorry to lose her seat to the three who were already sitting in the seats before her performance, because they deserve to stay too.
The singer emphasized that she would be honored to enter the Top 12 and perform on live television.
In the “chair challenge”, Tipa performed the song “If I Ain’t Got You” by Alisha Keys, showing her emotional, sensitive side.
“You undeniably have talent. I am happy that you are a pedestrian on your own path and I hope that we will walk this path together for a while,”
said Marat, handing Tipa a chair.
The singer Tipa, whose real name is Tabitha Balode, got her stage name as a child, when her family started calling her Tipa, later her friends also adopted it and then she herself made it her pseudonym.
Marat calls Tipu a follower of his own path, which excites him very much, because the singer is himself, without copying anyone.
The participant of the show is studying at the Jāzeps Vītolas Academy of Music of Latvia in order to become a composer and be able to create quality music for her songs.
In her spare time, Tabitha likes to cook, spend time painting, drawing or reading books. She likes long walks by the sea.
Tipa performed Adele’s song “Make you feel my love” in the television selection, but in the “chair challenge” she surprised with the song “If I Ain’t Got You” by Alisha Keys.
Marata Oglezneva will be represented by singer Krišjānis Brasliņš and singers Patricija Spale and Tipa in the live broadcasts of the “X Factor” show.
It has already been announced that young talents from all over Latvia have started a fight for 10,000 euros and an exclusive contract with the music recording company “Universal Music Group”.
As usual, the musical competition will take place in three stages of 12 programs – in the first stage, participants met in “Television Selections”, where you could get to know the brightest participants and their performances, in the second stage, the best participants met in “Chair Challenges”, which decided who would go home, but who – will fight for victory.
On the other hand, 12 finalists will compete in the final stage – “Live Finals”, who will start their journey towards the big stage under the guidance of professionals.
This is already the fifth season of the musical show “X Factor” and, unlike the previous ones, it is special in that the participants are not divided into categories by age and gender, as it was before, which means that there will be more competition not only among the participants, but also among the mentors – Aija Auškāpa, Marat Oglezneva, Reiņas Sēļanas and Intara Busuļas – because any participant could get to any mentor.
“X Factor” was held in Latvia for the first time in 2017.
