Tiny art collection arrives in NYC. Some pieces have to be seen with a magnifying glass

After winning over 150,000 people in Paris, The Small Is Beautiful Art Experience llega a Nueva York, with its curious display of diminuti art. Some of the pieces of it are so small, that You have to see them with a magnifying glass.

In Spanish, the exhibition is called “The small is beautiful, miniature art” and is about the first international exhibition of tiny art, which compiles the miniature art of 32 international artists.

The experience has more than 130 artist artworkss from the UK, Belgium, France, Asia, the Middle East, and all over the US and other countries.

The tiny art collection also has pieces for sale

But, those who attend the exhibition can not only see the miniature works of art, they can also buy them, since there is a shop with some of these works for sale.

And, to encourage new talent, certain days there will be art workshops for children.

The Small Is Beautiful experience is currently open at 718 Broadway in Manhattan near Washington Square Park.

The new carriages have Wi-Fi installed, USB chargers, digital signs, illuminated door-opening alerts and an on-board computer system that could detect faults in critical systems such as braking and door-opening.

In introducing the new cars to the press, MTA noted that the new R211 train car is part of its goal “to bring a modernized subway experience to New Yorkers,” as can be seen on its digitized billboards.

For the first time, this new generation of subway cars includes security cameras and an open layout, allowing passengers to move from one car to another more easily.

In October 2022, the MTA announced Board approval to order an additional 640 R211 subway cars, bringing the total number of new subway cars to 1,175 over the next two years.

This second batch of new subway cars is expected to be delivered in early 2025. If the trial is successful, there is a second option for an additional 437 cars that could have open gangways.
