It’s not often that developers warn about the poor state of their own game. Let alone do it before the actual release. Nevertheless, we saw such a step today. It was made by the studio Pendulo and shortly before the release of the adventure game Tintin Reporter: Cigars of the Pharaoh caused confusion.
Representatives of Pendulo Studios talk about the new adventure of Tintin as their most ambitious project to date. Despite all efforts, however, failed remove all errors and the game enters the market with bugs and problems. Neither was specified. Instead, the developers are apologizing for this state of affairs and are committed to rectifying the situation as soon as possible. The first updates will be released in the coming weeks.
The post doesn’t say why Microids didn’t shelve the game. Especially when it comes out during the greatest hits period.
Tintin Reporter: Cigars of the Pharaoh will be available starting today for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S with Czech subtitles. The game will be coming to Nintendo Switch next year. Unfortunately, we don’t know if the issues affect all platforms.
In Tintin Reporter: Cigars of the Pharaoh, you join Tintin and Filuta on one of their most famous adventures. “An extraordinary journey full of unique experiences awaits the unsuspecting reporter Tintin and his faithful canine companion Filuta. After a chance encounter with eccentric Professor Philemon Silikon while sailing across the Mediterranean, the famous reporter sets off in search of the tomb of Pharaoh Semtam-Chaos. But before he and Filuta can find out what dark secrets are hidden in the tomb, they both get stuck in a giant network of drug smugglers operating across the entire Orient…” the press release beckons.
Console owners can buy the game i in a limited and collector’s physical edition. A limited edition including an official steelbook and three postcards is currently being released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, and will be released on 11/30/2023 for PlayStation 4.
