Through this initiative, Tinder hopes to encourage its members to show love to themselves and take care of their own mental well -being.

From 27 October to 15 November 2021 both existing and new Tinder members in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam can register for free access to the Intellect app for 6 months where they can access a series of standalone programs developed by the panel. clinical health experts and hands-on training sessions led by a certified behavioral health coach for free.

More than half of Tinder members are Gen Z aged 18-25. The emotional impact of the pandemic has accelerated adaptation to the new normal in every aspect of their lives, including being more open on Tinder.

This has made Tinder members more honest and open, which can be seen from the 550 percent increase in the use of the word ‘love yourself’ or ‘self-love’ in Tinder bios in Indonesia.

This is seen with the opening lines on their profiles revealing that they are on a “journey to love yourself” and “if you can’t love yourself, how are you going to love someone else?”.

“We are excited about our partnership with Tinder to provide comprehensive support for the mental well-being of Gen Z users across Southeast Asia, where millions more will now have access to support that fits their daily lives,” said CEO and Co. -founder of Intellect Theodoric Chew.

Here’s how to access the service:
