APPLICATION dating online Tinder just launched a feature to show videos on user profiles and some other novelties.
“The new generation of consumers Tinder want more from Tinder post-Covid. They want more ways to express themselves, have fun and interact with fellow users virtually, as well as have more control over meeting and communicating with other people,” said Tinder CEO Jim Lanzone in a press release.
Quoted from Antara, Saturday (26/6/2021), Tinder provides a profile video feature which is believed to provide more ways for users to express themselves. Tinder sees users from Gen Z like telling stories through videos.
More and more Gen Z users are writing down their values in the bio, which represents what they expect and the limits set. The writing in the bio is considered not enough to tell what they like so that it can be poured through video.
Tinder also launched a Hot Takes feature, short chats with other users before becoming a couple, “matches” in the app.
This feature has a countdown timer, users can choose whether they want to be a match or wait for time to run out and meet new people again.
Hot Takes provide an opportunity to chat before it becomes a match. Before this feature existed, users had to like each other before they could interact virtually.
Tinder’s new Exploration feature will help users find matches with similar preferences.
