Tinder Provides Free Covid-19 Tests To Be Safe When Dating

Suara.com – Dating app online Tinder give 500 users in the United States for a pair tes Covid-19 It’s free, one for the user and one for the match found on Tinder’s Match.

The company says it’s a way to help people feel more comfortable when they meet a partner they find on Tinder.

The Covid-19 test was carried out from the medical testing company from the United States, Everly Well. The PCR test will be taken via a mucus sample from their nose at home and then sent to a lab for testing. The results are then posted online within one to two days.

“We are delighted to be working with Everly Well to make it easier for users to go and meet their Match partners safely,” said Nicole Parlapiano as Vice President of Marketing for North America Tinder, quoted from The Verge, Wednesday (17/3/2021).

However, the results of these tests do not necessarily guarantee a safe date. It could be that after the test is taken, the user will then contract the Corona virus from unexpected events.

Tinder also gives a warning on the interface that says “A negative test result does not mean you do not have or cannot transmit Covid-19.”

Furthermore, Tinder also provides tips so that online dating can be done comfortably during the pandemic. When dating, users are required to wear a mask, meet outside the room, or avoid other people both before and after meeting their partner.
