Last Tuesday (7), the relationship application Tinder made updates to its platform, which will be accessible to Plus, Gold and Platinum package users. But among the most interesting updates is the Incognito Mode, which offers more privacy to users who subscribe to the premium package.
With this, the intention when offering the incognito mode is to allow the user to be invisible and only appear to people who have received likes from him. In this way, the user, in addition to increasing the probability of matchends up avoiding profiles of family members, co-workers and ex-partners.
New Tinder tools and features
In addition to the incognito option, other upgrades to the Tinder platform were the following two tools: the DTBY? (acronym of Does this bother you?, which in Portuguese means “Does it bother you?”) and AYS? (acronym for Are you sure?, which in Portuguese means “Are you sure?”).
In turn, these tools serve to report messages that are considered inappropriate and offensive content. Therefore, to make a complaint, just click on the unwanted message and select the option to send a report to the platform explaining what happened.
According to the platform, after the AYS option became available, there was a 10% reduction in offensive messages. And as for the DTBY option, it encouraged people to report hate speech, that’s because reports increased by 46%.
Another function that they added to the update was the possibility of block users so that they no longer appear in recommendations or that they no longer have access to the user’s profile. Tinder explains that this is a way to avoid bumping into co-workers and exes.
