Tinder adds a vaccine center feature in the app

Jakarta (ANTARA) – The online dating application Tinder now has features around COVID-19 vaccination for their users in Indonesia.

“We want to support and encourage our members to be protected when they start planning real-world encounters with match them,” said a Tinder representative, quoted in a press release on Friday.

This feature is indeed to invite users, especially Generation Z, to participate in vaccinations.

Tinder calls this feature a vaccination center, users can add a vaccination sticker on their profile.

The stickers that are now available are “Vaccinated”, “Vaccine Soon”, “Immunity Together” and “Vaccines Save Lives”.

Tinder has also created an information center on vaccinations, integrated into the PeduliLindung official website.

Through this integration, Tinder users can get official information about vaccines and vaccinations and can schedule appointments to the nearest vaccination center.

According to Tinder, the push to get vaccinated against COVID-19 is also to ensure safety when users decide to meet in person.

“Our goal is to make sure encounters are safe everywhere and for everyone—Tinder vaccine stickers will make this connection easy and fun to find a match for each other,” says Tinder.

Vaccines are one of the most talked about topics on Tinder. The mention of the word “vaccine” in the bios of Tinder users has become commonplace, mostly posted in September when the government’s vaccination acceleration program was launched.
