Ronnie Turner, the youngest child of Ike and Tina Turner, has died of complications from metastatic colon cancer, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office said, as reported by E!News.
The Manufactured Funk musician passed away on December 8 at the age of 62.
Ronnie Turner, whose death was ruled natural, in addition to colon cancer, also suffered from atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, the report also revealed.
Ronnie starred in the 1993 biopic What’s Love Got to Do with It about the musical legacy of her mother, who was notorious for being abused during her marriage to Ike Turner.
Ike died at the age of 76 on December 12, 2007.
Following the death of her heir, 83-year-old Tina Turner expressed her grief on Instagram. The singer wrote that he left too early.
A tribute to Ronnie was also paid by his wife Afida, who will remember him as a “true angel” and her “best friend”.
“This time I did my best till the end, I couldn’t save you. I have loved you for… 17 years, this is very, very bad and I am very angry“, he wrote. “Tthis is a tragedy, you and your brother Craig and your father Ike Turner and Allyn rest in heaven… So unfair.”
In 2018, Tina Turner lost her oldest son, Craig, which ended her life, BTA recalls. Her father was the late musician Raymond Hill.
