Tina Turner’s widower is reportedly planning to convert the $76 million Swiss estate where she died into a museum dedicated to her life and work.
The ‘The Best’ singer, whose death at the age of 83 was confirmed on May 24 after years of struggling with health problems, co-purchased their sprawling 10-building waterfront retreat with husband Erwin Bach, 67, in 2021 View of Lake Zurich. The Swiss newspaper Blick now reported that it “could be used to display memorabilia from the superstar’s career”. The century-old, 260,000-square-foot estate in the village of Stäfa includes a pond, stream, swimming pool and boat deck and is in an exclusive neighborhood that is also home to tennis star Roger Federer (41).
A statue of Tina is also said to be in the works in her hometown of Brownsville, Tennessee, which already houses the Tina Turner Museum. City Mayor Bill Rawls Jr. revealed his plan to build the memorial to TMZ and said he already has the support of his peers. He said: “When Tina walked on stage, she was hers. We want this statue to represent that passion. Tina was an inspiration to the whole world… She showed the people of Brownsville that no matter where you start, you have power over your own story and where you end up.”
