On the set of “Marty Supreme”: Timothée Chalamet is barely recognizable with his beard, glasses and gelled hair.

In “A Complete Unknown” (in cinemas from February 27, 2025), Timothée Chalamet, 28, lands as Bob Dylan in the 1960s – in his latest project “Marty Supreme” even in the 50s. Current photos show the “Dune” star in a period-typical outfit on set, rushing through the streets of New York City.

For his role as table tennis player Marty Reisman (1930-2012), Timothée Chalamet grew a mustache and wore inconspicuous glasses. The teen idol’s famous shaggy hair is shorter than usual and slicked straight up.

Timothée Chalamet: Breathless in her undershirt

In the filmed scene, Timothée Chalamet wears a white undershirt. Above it flutters an open shirt that his Marty Reisman apparently put on in a hurry. His gray suit trousers are held in place by a belt well above his waist. Marty holds a black leather sports bag in his hand.

In “Marty Supreme” Timothée Chalamet embodies one of the best American table tennis players of all time. Marty Reisman won bronze five times at a total of seven world championships and also appeared in many exhibition matches. At the beginning of his career, he was a so-called hustler who took money out of people’s pockets for betting.

“The Nanny” star Fran Drescher, 67, will be seen as his mother. Gwyneth Paltrow, 52, is also involved in the film, returning to the big screen after five years.

Not much more details are known about “Marty Supreme”. The biopic is directed by Josh Safdie, 40. Together with his brother Benny Safdie, 38, he has already directed “Good Times” with Robert Pattinson, 38, and “The Black Diamond” with Adam Sandler, 58. Both films are fast-paced urban thrillers – which might explain Timothée Chalamet’s rush on set.
