– The summer timetable will come into force across Europe on June 12, 2022. In the Nuremberg region, the “minor timetable change” will change a few things, mainly because of a major construction site.
165 kilometers of tracks, 72 points, 128,000 tons of new ballast: The high-speed line between Fulda and Würzburg has to be closed to train traffic from June 11 due to construction work. From October 17th, the trains will then run regularly again from Frankfurt to Würzburg, on the section to Fulda the train will continue to work until December 10th.
Of course, this affects long-distance trains in particular. They have to be diverted, depending on the line, the journey time is increased by 20 to 60 minutes. According to the Bavarian Railway Company (BEG), there will also be changes in regional traffic with the “minor timetable change” on June 12 due to the construction site, especially in the Nuremberg metropolitan region.
For example, the regular departure times of the Munich-Nuremberg Express (RE 1 Nuremberg – Munich) have been changed by a few minutes. In addition, there will be timetable changes until October 16, 2022 necessary maintenance work on vehicles. In both directions, travelers have to change trains in Ingolstadt at around 10 a.m., 5 p.m., 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.
Individual stops are omitted
In the direction of Munich, individual stops will be canceled until October 16, 2022, namely in Petershausen (approx. 5:30 p.m.) and in Allersberg (approx. 3:32 p.m., only on Fridays).
According to the BEG, the trains on the RB 12 between Nuremberg, Fürth and Markt Erlbach will run slightly earlier in the direction of Markt Erlbach from October 17, 2022. In Fürth-Burgfarrnbach, individual stops (at around 2:05 p.m. and around 5:00 p.m.) are canceled.
