Information sources report that the person of interest related to the most recent Times Square shooting was taken into custody in Jacksonville, Florida.
According to the information received, gas station closures in Florida have caused Farrakhan Muhammad to run out of fuel in his vehicle. It was there that the authorities found him and detained him.
Last Saturday, an apparent dispute between several subjects would have triggered a shooting in the congested area of Midtown.
In the incident, three bystanders were injured and treated at Bellevue Hospital.
One of the victims was a 4-year-old girl who was impacted in the leg and required surgical intervention.
The other two affected were a 23-year-old girl, visiting from Rhode Island and another 43-year-old woman, who came from New Jersey.
Mayor de Blasio announced on Monday that, after the shooting, more police officers were employed in the Times Square area.
