The British royal family, especially Prince Harry, are in the spotlight again, mum. This time, Meghan Markle’s husband explained the harsh actions she had suffered from Prince William.
He told this story in his memoirs Replacement. Quoting from The GuardianHarry admitted to being attacked by his brother in 2019.
In the book, this incident occurs when the two fight over Meghan Markle. The fight took place in the kitchen of her home in London.
Harry wrote at the time that William wanted to deal with the whole mess of his relationship with Meghan and the struggles with the press. However, according to Harry, William’s emotions were running high at the moment, they were heating up and when he arrived at Harry’s house, the debate was inevitable.
Their dispute was described as very fierce, the two shouting at each other until William was said to have cursed.
The piece also revealed that William called Meghan a “difficult” and “rough” woman. Until finally, William suddenly pushed Harry to the ground as he continued to argue.
“He grabbed me by the collar, pulled my necklace and threw me to the floor.”
“I fell on a broken dog food bowl right under my back. The cut cut my back,” said Harry.
At that point Harry could only be silent for a moment. He was stunned by what was happening, then got up and asked William to leave his house.
“I stood there for a moment, dazed, then got up and told him to get out,” Harry added.
Harry also said that at the time William had asked him to give resistance in return, just like the fight they had when they were little. However, this father of two chose to turn it down.
Also, Harry remembered William’s message before leaving him. Kate Middleton’s husband apologized, apologized, but also asked that Meghan didn’t need to know about the dispute.
“‘You mustn’t tell Meg (Meghan),'” Harry recalled, recalling his sister’s words.
“You mean you attacked me?” he asked her.
“I didn’t attack you Harold,” William retorted again, using another of Harry’s nicknames.
Meghan Markle mom finally found out about this incident. Not because Harry had started the conversation, but his wife had asked about the scratches on his back.
According to Harry, Meghan appeared neither surprised nor angry about what happened. However, she immediately looked sad when it happened to Harry.
“He was very sad,” Harry wrote.
