A woman with the initials DA felt mocked and kicked out by the police when she filed a complaint with Biringkanaya Police, MacassarSouth Sulawesi.
The District Attorney visited the Biringkanaya Police to report her husband who has been missing since December 26, 2022.
The district attorney’s colleague, Sri, said the police were reluctant to process the report. According to him, the district attorney was mocked and expelled by Biringkanaya police members.
“I just don’t want to make a complaint. The police just laugh at his wife, then he’s sent home,” said the district attorney’s colleague, Sri, Monday (2/1).
Sri said the Public Reports and Complaints Section of the Biringkanaya Police also ridiculed the district attorney’s missing husband.
According to Sri, DA’s husband Hagai (31) initially said goodbye to buy a handle. However, he didn’t go home until his wife went to the police the next day.
“I didn’t report it because I was just insulted. Then a policeman said if I lost him I would replace him. So I said why sir? He said again, if he loses (your husband) he will be replaced,” she said .
In response to this, Makassar Police Chief Kombes Budhi Haryanto said that the Professional and Safety Branch (Propam) of the Makassar Police had looked into members suspected of being involved.
“There is one member. We have looked into him, just wait for trial,” Budhi said CNNIndonesia.comTuesday (3/1).
Meanwhile, Biringkanaya Police Chief Kompol Andi Alimuddin apologized for the actions of its members.
Alimuddin said that at that time DA was being questioned by six officers who were on duty. He suspects the officer didn’t mean to laugh at the DA.
“I met with the mother and I apologize if any of my members’ words are not entirely correct, joking without seeing the situation,” Alimuddin said.
