December 28 should be close family and friends Indra Bekti celebrates his 45th birthday. There were a number of joyful birthday surprises received by the famous Indonesian presenter, but sadly a different story happened the next morning.
The excitement over Indra Bekti’s birthday event was cut short as around 8 am during a morning radio broadcast, he was said to have passed out in the toilet. The chronology of events was later clarified by his friend and colleague, Indy Barends.
Indy Barends along with Indra Bekti’s younger brother Cipta told him that his best friend didn’t fall in the toilet. But his condition was as faint as sleep.
While crying, Indy Barends told the media crew in front of Abdi Waluyo hospital in central Jakarta.
“So this morning Bekti was on the radio around 8 past 8. Cipta and I are Bekti’s sister, so during the broadcast Bekti complained of a headache. So she didn’t fall in the bathroom,” said Indy Barends sobbing .
Indy Barends continued, In the morning Indra Bekti complained of a headache, said he wanted to go to the toilet and defecate (BAB). The broadcast team realized that old Bekti didn’t return to the broadcast room, so the local security entered the bathroom.
Inside the locked cabinet was Indra Bekti. He was already sitting on the toilet and seemed to be asleep, he was hit but he didn’t even wake up.
“It turned out that Bekti was still pooping in a pooping position, but she had fallen asleep but appeared to be unconscious, so she didn’t fall into the toilet. So in such a situation, everyone had to take immediate action to be rushed to Abdi Waluyo hospital, emergency room,” he added.
Meanwhile, according to Indra Bekti’s manager Roy, Indra Bekti’s condition the day before looked good.
“Since yesterday he has a normal job. Broadcasting is fine, there are video clips filming until the evening is still safe. Today birthday at 12 already with the family, I don’t know whether to sleep or continue,” explained Roy
“An assistant accompanying the radio broadcast also got a surprise in the morning. Maybe around 7.30 she was going to the bathroom. When he went back to the bathroom he was already back in the water, how come (Bekti) doesn’t have back and forth,” he continued.
The team at the broadcast site checked Indra Bekti in the toilet. Having been called and scolded, Indra Bekti made no sound. It turned out that Indra Bekti was already unconscious.
“The screams in the bathroom didn’t come out. Bekti’s condition was passed out. He was immediately taken by ambulance to a hospital in an area near here,” Roy explained.
Currently, Indra Bekti is reported to have a broken blood vessel in her head. He also had to have blood clotting surgery because too much blood was clotting. Bekti also reportedly experienced brain swelling.
