Police have revealed the arrest history of Iwan Sumarno (42), a garbage collector who kidnap boy with initials MA (6) in Gunung Sahari, Central Jakarta (Jakpus). Iwan was arrested in Ciledug, South Tangerang (Tangsel), with the victim in a cart.
“The team led by the head of the Central Jakarta Police Criminal Investigation Unit managed to find the alleged perpetrators as well as the victims,” he said on Tuesday (3/1/2023).

Get information on the whereabouts of the authors
Komarudin explained that the arrests began when the police received information about their whereabouts author at 21.30 WIB, Monday (2/1) evening. The author is said to be in the Cipadu, Ciledug, Tangsel area.
“Where earlier at 21.30 WIB, the team received information about the whereabouts of the suspected perpetrator and the victim in Cipadu, Ciledug area,” Komarudin said.
The police search the Cipadu area
Having obtained this information, the police immediately conducted a search in the Cipadu area. “Afterwards, the team conducted a sweep in the Cipadu area,” he said.
The attacker was found with the victim
The police finally found the whereabouts of the perpetrator. The victim was also found in a cart carried by scavengers who had been convicted in the obscenity case.
“Then the suspected culprit and the victim were found on Jl Wahid Hasyim Tangsel,” Komarudin said.
“When they were found earlier, the victim was in a cart being driven by the perpetrator,” he added.
The perpetrator was taken to the Central Jakarta Metropolitan Police Headquarters
After being captured, author taken to Central Jakarta Metropolitan Police Headquarters. While the victim was taken to the Kramat Jati Police Hospital for an examination of her health condition.
“We took the victim to Kramat Jati hospital to be examined considering that a lot of time had been spent with the suspected culprit,” he said.
