Tim was shot dead by police, mother is raising money for funeral

The mother of the man who was shot dead in Waalwijk on Thursday evening collects money to pay for his funeral. 27-year-old Tim van den Boor from Dordrecht was killed after the police shot him dead during his arrest. He was a suspect in an ongoing drug case.

To give the slain Tim ‘a dignified farewell’, his mother collects money for the funeral. Because of his young age, the insurance does not cover all funeral costs, she writes on the crowdfundingsite† “There is not enough balance built up.” According to her, the funeral will cost 8,000 euros, half of which is covered. 65 people have already donated a total of 2,750 euros.

Resuscitation
An arrest team of the police wanted to arrest the suspect at Larixplein in Waalwijk, because of a drug case. It is not known why the police felt compelled to shoot the 27-year-old. The National Criminal Investigation Department is investigating the case. That’s common after a cop shoots.

The victim was resuscitated immediately after the shooting. Despite all medical assistance, he died on the spot from his injuries.
