Tim Torn Teutenberg has put himself on the Paris-Roubaix honors list for promises. The talented German from the Lidl-Trek training team was the fastest sprinter on the Roubaix velodrome. He stayed ahead of the British Robert Donaldson (Trinity Racing) and the Belgian Robin Orins (Lotto Dstny U23).
Teutenberg, who recently won the Olympia’s Tour, is the successor to the late Tijl De Decker. The Belgian managed to win a tough Paris-Roubaix Espoirs solo last year, but died a few months later as a result of a training accident.
On the honors list of Paris-Roubaix U23 we also find the names of current professionals Tom Pidcock (2019), Stan Dewulf (2018), Nils Eekhoff (2017), Filippo Ganna (2016), Mike Teunissen (2014), Bob Jungels (2012). ) and Ramon Sinkeldam (2011) back.
The victory in the junior edition of Paris-Roubaix went to Jakob Omrzel from Slovenia earlier in the afternoon. He stayed ahead of his compatriot Erazem Valjavec, son of the former cyclist. The last podium place went to Axel Van den Broek, who kept U19 world champion Albert Withen Philipsen off the podium. The Dane made an all-or-nothing attempt, but failed in the final.
This. Is. What. It. Means.
