New Zealand superstar Tim Southee praised Indian star Jasprit Bumrah. Southee said that Bumrah is now bowling better than before and is number one in all formats.

The South Indian ace was lauded when he won the award for the best T20 bowler at the CEAT Cricket Assessment Awards held last night.

“If he’s recovered from a major injury and gets back into the game, it’s safe to say he’s better than before.

After all, managing multiple formats can be difficult. But I think Bumrah will do that easily.

Maybe because he is a more experienced player, he understands the game better. It must have been when he was injured that he got back fresher.

Everyone can see the best version of Bumrah in all forms. He performs well in all forms of cricket.

I don’t think anyone is better than Bumrah right now. He’s good in all formats,” Southee said.

Former Aussie captain Ricky Ponting had also earlier spoken in praise of Bumrah’s bowling skills.

“I’ve been saying for a long time that he’s the best all-round bowler in world cricket in the last five or six years. When he was injured two years ago, I was afraid that he would be able to come back.

But actually he was coming back even better. I have seen his performances in the T20 World Cup. There is no change in the speed and accuracy with which he bowls. It’s getting better every year,’ said Ricky Ponting.

Bumrah’s role in India’s victory in the T20 World Cup this year was huge. In this tournament, the star Indian pacer has taken 15 wickets from his opponents from eight matches.

The player also won the Player of the Tournament award in the World Cup. Bumrah achieved this feat without conceding a single run in the bat. With this, Bumrak became the first player in the history of the T20 World Cup to win the Player of the Tournament award without scoring a single run.
