TIM, the main telephony company in Italy, is ready for heavy changes and stings for its customers!
Having a telephony contract is not easy at all, above all because of the frequent contractual changes that many companies make to their customers automatically without even too much notice. Nowadays fixed telephony contracts are decreasing more and more to face instead the progressive increase of mobile telephony contracts that by now anyone subscribes to have free minutes for calls, free text messages and above all a 4G and 5G data connection on your smartphone.
Among the most famous and important companies in Italy there is certainly TIM which is the main telephone company in Italy which also manages internet connections for the home. Millions of Italians have an open contract with the telephone operator and for them there seems to be a nasty surprise: TIM has in fact announced some remodulations of the contracts and is ready to send real ones left handed to some of his clients.
Who are these phone stings aimed at?
As we have said, TIM is ready to send stings to its customers, but not to all, only to some who have certain contracts. For this reason, if you belong to this group of customers and if you have such a contract with the company, you must be prepared to receive a nasty surprise, i.e. a monthly increase in the bill and not only: apparently it is also foreseen a further annual increase due to inflation, a real sting!
It is apparently some landline offers that are no longer on the market, but which concern contracts still open with some customers. Apparently, although many of these offers are no longer valid and in effect, some customers are still using them and these people will have a sting on the monthly cost of the offer and also, as mentioned, another increase due to inflation since they are contracts opened many years ago.
The offers involved: if you have them, you will have to shell out a lot of money
We therefore come to list which offers are involved in this series of stings that TIM is preparing for its customers. These are: TIM Unlimited Premium, All Without Premium Limits, All Premium e Smart Premium. These offers, as mentioned, are no longer available on the market, but some customers still have them active: if you are one of them, you will have to pay out a lot of money and there will be a monthly increase in the offer for you.
From 1st March 2023 all customers who have these offers active on their fixed line will suffer an increase of €2 more on the monthly offer plus an increase due to inflation starting from April 1, 2024. TIM justified the cost increase in this way: “for economic needs due to the change in the market context”.
