In an interview with Bustle says Apple’s Tim Cook that he is concerned about the “endless, thoughtless scrolling” that several social media sites seem to get many users into, he is also concerned that people “use technology too much”.
During the interview, Cook also said that “mental illness is a crisis” and that he himself addresses his stress as CEO of Apple by meditating and “being out in nature and feeling so insignificant in the world”. Regarding technology addiction, Cook said that “technology should serve humanity and not the other way around” and that Apple is trying to do something about the problem. The app Shine won the best app in the Apple App Store last year and much of the interview is also spent talking about it and the benefits of working on your mental health.
