On Twitter, Allen confirmed: “See you soon Woody, you are a strange, sad little man and I feel sorry for you. And let’s go for number five! Infinitely far and beyond!”

Allen first took on the role of Buzz in the year 1995. He then took on his role in the second ‘Toy Story’ movie in the year 1999. The third movie was then eleven years away. And so in 2010 Allen once again took on the role of his character. The fourth film was released in 2010. The last two films were very successful. They each managed to rake in more than a billion dollars at the worldwide box office.
The ‘Lightyear’ spin-off with Chris Evans as the real Buzz was much less popular with the public. Hopefully the fifth film will do better with Allen lending his voice again.
