Tilde Grillfors then definitively decided the game in the third period when she twisted the puck in the middle zone, whizzed between two German defenders and neatly put the puck high into the net on the pick-hand side. Disa Karlsson ended the Swedish scoring before Friederike Pfalz got a consolation goal in numerical superiority in the final minutes.

The already secured Swedish medal is the eleventh in a row during the games in South Korea. Switzerland or Japan now await in Wednesday’s final.
