Last year, TikTok announced its own Stories feature, similar to Snapchat and Instagram. Although this feature is not yet available to all users, TikTok would like to integrate it into its main video feed.
As the reported social media consultant Matt Navarra, TikTok stories now appear in the “For You” feed instead of having their own separate tab. As you scroll through the feed, photos and videos in stories are identified by a blue tag with the words “Story”. Interestingly, in camera mode, TikTok now identifies stories as “Quick”, which suggests the company is still considering the right name for this feature.
NEW! TikTok has made big changes to TikTok Stories
– TikTok Stories now show up in FYP feed instead of the stories side bar
– You can now see anyone’s stories, not just those from people you followh/t @ adrianokev1

Just like on Snapchat and Instagram, photos and videos shared on TikTok Stories automatically disappear after 24 hours. Additionally, where previously users could only see stories from profiles they follow, TikTok now allows anyone to view stories shared from a public profile. At the moment it is not yet clear when, with the new positioning in the feed, they will be available to all users.
Have any of you already been able to take advantage of the new function? Do you prefer a special tab or the new location in the main feed?
