The company has not reported until now when that application will be available to the general public.

On August 4, social media consultant Matt Navarra discovered that some TikTok influencers appear to have gained access to a new feature, similar to that of Instagram and Snapchat stories.
On his Twitter account, Navarra shared screenshots of the new feature, which is described as “a new way to interact with your fans” by allowing you to create stories that disappear after 24 hours.
Later, a TikTok spokesperson confirmed to The Verge that the social network is indeed working on this new feature, simply called “TikTok Stories.”
“We are always thinking of new ways to add value to our community and enrich the TikTok experience,” the spokesperson wrote. “We are currently experimenting with providing creators with additional formats to bring their creative ideas to life for the TikTok community.”
The new option seems to work similarly to Instagram and Snapchat stories. Stories are in a sliding sidebar and are automatically deleted after 24 hours. Apparently, it will also be possible to touch a user’s profile photo to upload their stories, although everything indicates that these should be in video format and not in still images.
The company has not provided details on when the TikTok Stories will be released to the general public.
While the stories have proven to be highly successful on various social networks, their reception is infallible. Just five days ago, Twitter removed its version of said ‘application’, called ‘freight’, because it did not reach enough popularity or there was an “increase in the number of new users who joined the conversation” through that tool.
