At the beginning of the year, the American singer Cat Janice posted a post on Tiktok that contained a small part of the song “Dance you outta my head”.
“I have the tough news that the cancer has won. I have fought hard but sarcoma is hard”she captioned the video.
On Wednesday, Cat Janice died of sarcoma, that is, cancer in the body’s supporting tissue. In a post on Instagram, her family says she passed away with her family around her.
“We are deeply grateful for all the love Catherine and our family have received over the past few months”the family stated in the statement.

The family continues:
“Cat saw her music reach places she never expected and rests in peace knowing she will continue to provide for her son through her music. This would not have been possible without all of you.”
“Dance you outta my head” was released on January 19 and quickly climbed Tiktok’s chart. It also reached the top 10 on the prestigious Billboard chart in the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs genre.
Before her death, Cat announced to Janice that all proceeds from the song would go to her son.
