VIVA – Facebook known as a technology company that never gives up on innovation. They continue to make new features when they see their rivals advancing. This time what should be highlighted is Reels, which they created to compete TikTok.
Although Reels was first known to be on Instagram, but now the feature is already on the Facebook platform. Another clone feature that has been successful is Snapchat’s Stories. So, does TikTok still hold on to the top spot?
Reels on Facebook was initially available in the United States (US) for Android and iOS devices. This feature consists of music, audio to effects. Users can see it on News Feed or Groups, quoting from the site GSM Arena, Sunday, October 3, 2021.
When viewing content on Reels, users can easily follow the creator, like and comment on the video or share it with friends. Facebook is currently testing the ability of Instagram users to recommend their Reels in the main Facebook app.
So, it is possible that the Reels feature will be fully integrated between the two apps in the future. Like Reels on Instagram, full-screen ads will be coming soon between Reels posts to help small businesses and brands connect with new audiences in a different way.
On Facebook, this feature comes with effects augmented reality (AR), timer and countdown, ability to speed up or slow down recording, support for merging multiple clips into one Reels and ability to use own audio or from Facebook Library.
