The Repost button allows users to re-share videos from other accounts, but only spread them across the For You feed.
TikTok is known to be testing a new feature that makes users no longer need to send video clips to friends via the application’s DM. The new feature in the form of a Repost button functions like a feature retweet in twitter.
Reported from The Verge (5/1), social media consultant Matt Navara recently shared a screenshot showing the Repost feature. According to reports TechCrunch, video features in-repost will only appear on feed For You, that means it won’t be spread on feed For Your Page.
In addition, the videos thatrepost nor will it appear in the user’s profile. Videos will only be seen by users who follow each other. The feature is currently reportedly still under development and testing by a limited group of users.

The Repost button will be very useful for TikTok users who like to share interesting videos with friends via DM. With this button, your friends will no longer be bothered by spam videos in DMs, it also makes it easier for those of you who have many friends on TikTok to share videos.
Also, some users see a Recommend button instead of a Repost button. Recommend function to recommend videos to other users.
