TikTok banned in Canada too

The Canadian government has announced a ban on the use of the TikTok platform by its employees, FOX News reported.

The app will not be usable on phones used by government personnel. Western countries are trying to control the use of the platform.

It is believed to give access to users’ personal information to the Chinese government.

From Tuesday, the app will be removed from official government phones.

There are actually no records of personal information being illegally downloaded through the platform. However, programs are believed to be in use that ensure similar access to phones.

Last week, the EU took a similar decision for its own staff. It was debated for weeks.

Studies are ongoing.
