After having rested on the first day of the Leagues Cup, the time has come for one of the favorites of Liga MX, the Tigres de la UANL, to begin their journey within the binational competition, having as their first opponent Puebla, a club that fell 2-0 to Inter Miami on the first day.

The action in Group 3 of the East sector will feature the “Incomparable” and the “Camoteros”, highlighting that, in case of losing, the team from the ‘Franja’ would be officially eliminated from the tournament. However, if the score ends tied after 90 minutes, the team led by ‘Chepo’ de la Torre would be forced to win the penalty shootout to stay alive in the competition.

In contrast, the Monterrey team knows that a victory would officially put them in the round of 16, thus playing for the lead in their sector for the last date of the group stage in their match against Inter Miami at the NRG Stadium (Texas).

Below, we leave the schedule with time from Central Mexico, as well as the channels through which you can tune in to the match between the Liga MX teams:

Prior to traveling to Houston, Texas, the “auriazules” defeated Santos 0-3 in their visit to Torreón in matchday 4 of the Apertura 2024. With four matches played, they are in third place in the competition with 10 points, the result of three wins and one draw, still maintaining their undefeated status.

However, the ‘Incomparable’ team arrives thirsty for revenge after their performance in the previous edition, a competition in which, despite being one of the favourites to lift the trophy, they were eliminated in the round of 16 against their bitter rival, Rayados de Monterrey, thanks to the solitary goal from Sergio Canales.
