Now, with a double from the Portuguese Ana Costa, the Amazonas reached 38 points, two more than the Tuzas, while Gallos is in ninth place with 22 points.
Just last week the Monterrey team fell 1-0 against América, being their first defeat of the campaign, so on matchday fifteen of the Apertura 2024 tournament they showed themselves with greater force on the field to revalidate the hierarchy that distinguishes them as candidates to the title.
Thus, Ana Costa opened the scoring after five minutes and then scored a second goal in the 40th with a shot inside the area.
Greta Espinoza also contributed to the victory by making it 2-0 in the 36th minute with a header, while Jacqueline Ovalle (43) and Alison González (45+3) reiterated their potential as scorers with a goal each.
Ovalle reached 13 points on the scoring table and is chasing Charlyn Corral, forward of Tuzas and who for now is the leader on the net-breaker list with 16 scores.
Emily Flores (27), Edna Santamaría (45+6) and Wendis Cabrera (73) were discounted for Querétaro.
