Tigo enables vaccination center against covid-19 on the highway to El Salvador - Prensa Libre

Tigo reported that in Plaza Tigo, located in Santa Catarina Pinula, people can be vaccinated complying with the protocols of the Ministry of Health without getting out of their vehicle

Through a statement, Tigo reported that “with a commitment to Guatemalans and maintaining constant support for the country since the beginning of the pandemic, Tigo Guatemala helped the Ministry of Health to set up a vaccination center in vehicle modality within its facilities located in Plaza Tigo “

He added that as of Monday, August 16, residents of Santa Catarina Pinula and Guatemalans in general will have the option of getting vaccinated at the new vaccination vehicle center that will operate at the Tigo facilities at kilometer 9.5, highway to El Salvador.

“We are aware of the importance that more Guatemalans have access to vaccines and we do not hesitate to turn our facilities into a new vaccination center that will operate safely, quickly and comfortably for people. We are committed to supporting and collaborating with initiatives that are of benefit to the country ”, commented Luis Fernando Valladares, CEO of Tigo Guatemala.

He affirmed that the vaccination center will work under the coordination and supervision of the Ministry of Health, complying with all established protocols and offering the general population access to vaccines against covid-19.

As part of the inter-institutional support, the Municipality of Santa Catarina Pinula actively joins in facilitating the logistics necessary for its proper functioning.

The entrance to the Tigo vehicle vaccination center is located at kilometer 9.5 of the route that leads from the city to the highway to El Salvador and will operate from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., every day of the week.
