In this Moroccan restaurant, we find the traditional cuisine of the kingdom such as tajine and couscous, but also sushi, pokebawl, kebab, burger. “Tigmi” is both a Moroccan restaurant and a fast food restaurant. This is the concept thought up and implemented by Kacem Soussi through the opening, on May 15, 2023, of this establishment. “It didn’t exist, so I did it,” he told Actu.fr.

A graduate of Sciences Po Grenoble, Kacem matured for a while this project which became reality. “Tigmi means “house” in Berber. I am from this region in Morocco,” he adds. The restaurant offers dishes at affordable prices. “The prices are low, but we are profitable since the goal is to make volume”, explains the Franco-Moroccan. At “Tigmi”, the merguez couscous is at 11.90 euros, the chicken tagine with olives at 12.90 euros and the minced meat Bricks at 2.30 euros.
The establishment operates with a team of four employees, two of whom are in the kitchen. It can accommodate up to 60 people, room and terrace included. The bright blue of the storefront attracts the attention and curiosity of Grenoble residents. “We wanted a modern restaurant with bright colors for the decoration because I know that young people like it,” says Kacem.

In the afternoon, the restaurant offers pastries imported from Tangier in Morocco, accompanied by traditional mint tea. “I’m very happy with the start and it confirms my idea of opening other restaurants”, says the young entrepreneur who dreams of having a restaurant chain in France with a hundred establishments. “The second Tigmi restaurant will be in Lyon,” he said. The restaurant is open from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Between 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., it is transformed into a tea room.
