This Thursday, the Loire prefecture announced a strengthening of controls targeting urban rodeos. The machines used will be systematically seized.
For several years, urban rodeos have been multiplying in France. A phenomenon that the public authorities are trying to stem. In the Loire department, the prefect Catherine Séguin indicated in a press release that the controls would be reinforced on this subject. The police and gendarmerie services are also instructed to systematically seize the devices used.
It is also recalled that offenders are liable to a one-year prison sentence, coupled with a fine of 15,000 euros. And this increases in the event of aggravating circumstances. For example, if an offense is committed in a group, the perpetrators risk two years in prison and a fine of 30,000 euros. This can increase to three years and a fine of 45,000 euros if we add the consumption of alcohol or narcotics.
