The killed Thomas was fatally attacked by a tiger. There were many cuts and bleeding. Senior doctors, including a surgeon, attended to the injured Thomas. After stabilizing the patient, he was taken to Kozhikode Medical College in 108 ambulance. There were staff nurses and others.

On the way, the patient became critically ill due to heart disease. The post-mortem report also states that death was due to shock due to excessive bleeding from the wounds.
