Thiruvananthapuram – The director of the medical education department has submitted a report to the Health Minister Veena George on the complaint of delay in the treatment of the person who was killed in a tiger attack in Wayanad. It was found that there was no failure on the part of Wayanad Medical College.
The killed Thomas was fatally attacked by a tiger. There were many cuts and bleeding. Senior doctors, including a surgeon, attended to the injured Thomas. After stabilizing the patient, he was taken to Kozhikode Medical College in 108 ambulance. There were staff nurses and others.
On the way, the patient became critically ill due to heart disease. The post-mortem report also states that death was due to shock due to excessive bleeding from the wounds.
