With the sponsorship of the Government of the province, through the Sports Secretariat, a Fuegian delegation of 270 people left on different flights from Ushuaia and Rio Grande towards the city of Buenos Aires. Then, in private buses they traveled to Mar del Plata to settle in waiting for the start of the competition.
Since there will be no competition this Monday, the day will be used for the accreditations of all the athletes and the opening ceremony will be awaited at the Islas Malvinas Sports Center in Mar del Plata at 4:30 p.m.
Among the competitions to be held in the seaside town, there will be athletes whose ages range between 13 and 16 years old, who will demonstrate their talent in the following disciplines: Athletics, Badminton, Boxing, Canoeing, Cycling, Fencing, Futsal, Artistic Gymnastics, Gymnastics Rhythmic, Beach Handball, Hockey, Judo, Karate, Olympic Lifting, Wrestling, Swimming, Skate, Rugby, Taekwondo, Tennis, Table Tennis, Shooting, Archery, Triathlon, Volleyball.
Also new disciplines corresponding to the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games such as 3×3 basketball, futsal, BMX Freestyle, beach handball, beach volleyball and sevens rugby, among others.
