Ísimo, the new chain of hard discount stores of the Grupo Empresarial Olímpica, in alliance with Plan B, announced the opening of at least 13 points of sale in the department of Bolívar this year. (Read here: Ara’s 1,000 store in Colombia opens today in Cartagena).

The first stores in the department would be located in Cartagena, El Carmen de Bolívar, Marialabaja and San Juan Nepomuceno, and are part of a plan to open these stores that between December last year and March this year provides for the opening of 420 stores in the country. The goal for all of 2023 is 700 stores in operation, with 2,350 employees on the Caribbean Coast, Santander and Norte de Santander.

This new chain of stores was launched last December and the first points of sale were opened in Barranquilla and their corporate colors are purple and green.

With the arrival of this brand in the Caribbean Coast market, competition is encouraged in this segment where there are already Tiendas Ara and Tiendas D1. (Read here: The immediate liquidation of Justo & Bueno is ordered by a judge).

Ísimo enters to occupy the space left by Justo & Bueno and in the case of Cartagena some of the stores of that brand will now be occupied by this new competitor, which opens its stores with at least 750 references of national and international products.

The brand is associated with emotional superlatives such as super cheap, super varied, super delicious and super fast.
