Tidal is now offering Dolby Atmos Music – two months free

Tidal and Dolby Laboratories integrate Dolby Atmos Music into the range of music streaming services. This should enable immersive sound experiences via Dolby Atmos-compatible sound bars, televisions and AVR home cinema systems.

To benefit from this experience, Tidal HiFi users should connect their Dolby Atmos-compatible devices to a compatible streaming player that has the current version of the Tidal app. Compatible streaming devices include: Apple TV 4K, Fire TV Stick 4K, Fire TV Cube, Fire TV Stick (2nd generation), Fire TV (3rd generation) and NVIDIA SHIELD TV or NVIDIA SHIELD TV Pro (2019 or newer models). The updated app is also available on Dolby Atmos-enabled Android TVs from Sony and Philips, according to Tidal. This should give users the opportunity to use Dolby Atmos Music directly via the Dolby Atmos-capable speakers of the TV, a sound bar or a home theater system.

To make it easier to enjoy Dolby Atmos Music, Tidal HiFi should automatically select this setting if a Dolby Atmos mix and a compatible device are available. To find songs in Dolby Atmos, users should either click on the “Available in Dolby Atmos” category on the home screen or search for “Dolby Atmos”. According to the press release from the streaming provider, this also includes special “at home” playlists, which primarily include genres such as pop, hip-hop and jazz. Dolby Atmos Music is available to Tidal members who have subscribed to the HiFi option and who already have access to HiFi and Master quality songs. Users should also experience Dolby Atmos Music on a compatible Android smartphone or tablet on Tidal HiFi.

Tidal also offers everyone interested in Dolby Atmos Music free 60-day trial subscription. However, this limited time offer should only apply to new subscribers.
